The largest campaign organization in the Sagbama creek with membership across all communities has endorsed the candidate of the APC Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi for the Bayelsa West Senatorial bye elections.
The group through its coordinator Comrade Owei Fano stated on Sunday that, the endorsement was for the good of the people of Bayelsa West.
While explaining the reasons for the endorsement, the group debunked the claim of zoning arrangement, that there is no documented zoning arrangement, that it was destroyed when Seriake Dickson contested against Hon. Lokpobiri.
That, Seriake Dickson could not speak for the Bayelsa West when he was House of Representative member for four years with no legislative achievement therefore, cannot bring any meaningful development to the West. That he could not develop Bayelsa West with the billions that were under his control hence, the people are not expecting anything from him with the senatorial development debated funds in millions.
The group also highlighted that, Bayelsa State has been held ransom by one man making all efforts to take every vital public offices to his clan and constituency. That , the governor is by extention from Tarakiri, including the deputy. The group condemned any effort to build a family government or empire in Bayelsa State and that, the Senate cannot come from the same family, clan and constituency 1.
The rest of Bayelsans are not fools and cannot be fooled or brainwashed by the sentiments of politics to cover up this impending evil in the politics of Bayelsa State. The effort is a self imposition as a God over the people therefore, it must be stopped through a collective means, the group said.
While recounting the evils done against Bayelsans by the Seriake Dickson ‘s led government, that over 28,000 Bayelsa workers were sacked, even young people under the claim of over age.
That , he nearly killed NDU by placing the university on subvention which has been in practice till today that, the economy is doing well. Which has made the university to owe millions if not billions of naira in debt in order to meet up with the salary payment. But he placed the Toru-Orua university out of subvention.
The group coordinator further said that, to rule the people , it must be according to good legislative enactments but, the people of Bayelsa West and the state at large suffered a General break down of laws, substituted by Orders during Seriake Dickson government.
Seriake Dickson also has a problem with obeying the law and the judiciary which played out in the 2015 court invasion by Dickson in disrespect to constituted authority and legislative enactments.
Sariake Sickson has been a bad administrator through bad policies and legislations, with all these evidences , Bayelsans are sure that Dickson cannot make good legislations for the benefit of the people of Bayelsa West.
The group however vowed to work with Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi to ensure victory at the October senatorial bye elections. Stating that , the good records of the Alamco regime is enough to proof the anticipated good of Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi.
