Stakeholders of Makarfi Local Government area in Kaduna State has frown on Security agents enforcing the lockdown order in the state.
Some stakeholders speaks with NAIJA LIVE TV, said policemen in the state are using the lockdown to illegally arresting innocent citizen. Calling on the State Government to set up mobile court instead of using Policemen.
“Following the lockdown put in place in all part of Kaduna, state police in Makarfi local government in their effort to ensure full compliance have engage in arresting and remanded violators of the lockdown for the whole day and in some cases more than 24 hours without grating a bail”
“It is because of the above we want to use this medium to call on Kaduna State Government to set up a mobile court to be handling such cases instead of allowing the police to be maltreating the peoples in name of enforcing lockdown order for the sake of transparency and protection of human right”
“At this juncture, therefore, I want to enjoin the people of Kaduna state and Makarfi LG to be law-abiding while calling to the appropriate authority to act accordingly”
