Bayelsa Guber: Ogbia PDP Restoration Crusaders Reaffirms Support, endorses Sen. Douye Diri/Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo Governorship Ticket [VIDEO]

…says APC has no support base in Ogbia LGA

As the battle for the race of Bayelsa number one seat intensify, political stakeholders from Ogbia extraction have thrown their unalloyed support for the candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Douye Diri and his deputy, Barrister Lawrence Ewhrudjapkpo.

The event which was an Ogbia Unity Congress was organized by the Ogbia Restoration Crusaders on Sunday at Lady Daima Memorial Event Place, Yenagoa and convened by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Iworiso-Daniel Markson.

Whilst commenting on the support base of PDP in Ogbia and the credibility of Diri/Ewhrudjapkpo, Hon. Fred Obua, member representing Ogbia Federal Constituency stated that the  PDP is very stable and will deliver 95percent come November 16 governorship election in Bayelsa State, adding that they will mobilize their people to ensure total victory on the election day. 

He also lambasted the opposition for resorting to cheap strategy of associating stinginess with Diri. His words: “Douye Diri is a free man , nobody should use the name of stingy as a campaign strategy… He is a nice man, somebody that is accessible.  He is highly experienced man and somebody you can trust anytime.”

In his remarks, the Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area , Mr.Ebinyo Turner noted that Ogbia youths are happy with the PDP because of its generosity in bringing development to Ogbia land, stating that Ogbia has been a traditionally undivided PDP support base an would rally round the PDP for massive victory in governorship election in November 16.

In their separate speeches, member representing Ogbia Constituency 2, Mr. Gibson Munalayefa,  the Special Adviser to the Governor on Grassroot Mobilization, Eng. Ozu Captain, Chief George Eto Okrinya, Barr. Johnbull Azibataman, Chief Dr. Zedekiah Isu all threw their weight behind the PDP, stating that the victory of the PDP will be a clean sweep owing to the antecedents of winning all elective positions in Ogbia LGA.
