APC PCC sets up Media committee in Akwa Ibom; Charges on objectivity and hardwork

UYO – The Media and Publicity Directorate of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council APC PCC, Akwa Ibom State has been inaugurated.

The unveiling of the committee was held at the Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu campaign office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital at the weekend.

The committee headed by Hon. Mfon Okon also has Sir Dennis Udoma as secretary.

Other members are; the State Publicity Secretary of APC, Barrister Otoabasi Udo, Prince Ekon James, Brendan Ise, Godwin Umana, Imaobong Akpanakpan, Comfort George, Dr. Aniefiok Esetang, Maurice Okon, Enefiok Effiong, Alhaji Abdulsalami Bassey, Henry Akpabio, Asian Ebong and One Silas.

Their appointment in a letter dated December 13, 2022 and duly signed by the National Director, Media and Publicity of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Mr. Bayo Onanuga charged the members to be objective in the discharge of their assignment.

He also urged them to work conscientiously by liaising and interfacing with the party machinery in the State.

“You are equally expected to disseminate the activities of the Directorate to the Local Governments, Wards and Polling Units”, Mr. Onanuga advised.

The State Chairman of the committee, Hon. Mfon Okon thanked the PCC for the appointment and promised to live above board.

He enjoined the members to see their appointment as a national call to serve the party especially, this critical moment of political transition to new democratic dispensation.

“I welcome you all to this committee. I plead that we should all work as a team to deliver the task before us; and I am proud of the caliber of members who will bring their experience to bear in the assignment before the committee.

“With collective effort and team spirit, I am convinced we shall all win to the glory of God”, Hon. Okon charged.

The State Publicity Secretary of APC, Barrister Otoabasi Udo assured the committee of his support and implore the committee to do it’s best for the success of the party.

He warned against betrayal amongst members saying, such tendencies should be eschewed in all ramifications.
