2023: Independent Campaign Council inaugurates Operations and Organization Committee in A/Ibom

• ….Vows to deliver Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president

UYO – The Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (ICC) of the All Progressives Congress has inaugurated an 8-Man Operations and Organization Committee to drive the APC presidential campaigns in Akwa Ibom State.

The committee was inaugurated by the organization’s National Vice – Chairman, Operations, Prof. Chris Ekong in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital on Saturday.

The committee in Akwa Ibom is comprised of former Commissioner for Environment and Mineral Resources, Dr. John Harry as State Coordinator.

Others are; Mr. Emmanuel Amama, Deputy State Coordinator, Mr. Raymond Esin, Secretary, Mr. Akaninyene Umoh, Publicity Secretary, Helen Etim Onukak, Women Leader and Alhaji Abdulsalami Bassey, Director of New Media among others.

While Hon. Idaraobong Udoh, Mr. Victor and Barrister Asuka Asuka were also inaugurated as Eket, Uyo and Ikot Ekpene Senatorial Districts Coordinators respectively.

The Local Government Coordinators for the 31 LGAs of the State also took their turns.

The National VC, Operations, Prof. Ekong in his remarks congratulated the officers for scaling through the selection and charged them not to rest on their oas but, work to deliver up to the least candidate of the party in the forthcoming elections.

He said, their operation must be door – to – door reminding that, since the election will kick start in less than two months, they should eschew all forms of negative vices and mobilize the people of the State to vote the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in 2023.

Prof. Ekong expressed confidence in the quality of members of the committee saying, they have the ability to deliver and, commended the coordinator, Dr. John Harry for his effort in putting up the structure in the state.

Also speaking, the State Coordinator, Dr. John Harry said, the committee is a political mobilization structure to drive the process of campaigns of the party in Akwa Ibom.

He said, the desire of the committee is to vote the presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu to power in 2023 due to their believe that, he is capable of delivering the socioeconomic and political desires of Nigerians.

While appealing to the members for their dedication to deliver on the task ahead of the committee, noted that, they must monitor, evaluate and report all the political and campaign activities in the state before, during and after the elections.
