Road to 2023: Southern Ijaw Youths Call on Preye Oseke to Run For 2nd Term …Rated High on Legislative, Infrastructural performance

Thousands of Youths from the largest Local Government in Bayelsa State, Southern Ijaw, have marches through Amassoma community, the headquarters of Ogboin Clan, to call on the member representing Southern Ijaw federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Preye Influence Goodluck Oseke to run for second term in office.

The youths, under the aegis of Concerned Youths of Southern Ijaw, noted that Hon. Preye Oseke has done marvellously well in the area of his legislative duties on the floor of the national Assembly and execution of life changing projects in the nooks and crannies of his constituency.

The Coordinator of the group, Comrade Matthew Perekibuna, told newsmen, that Hon. Preye Influence Goodluck Oseke has become a beacon of hope to the new generational leaders in terms of legislative works and has keep cordial relationship with the grassroot, declaring that the large turnout translate to the demonstration of purposeful leadership Hon. Preye Influence Goodluck Oseke has shown over the years to the people.

Perekibina pointed out that the youths,women and political leaders of the Federal constituency are solidly behind Hon. Preye oseke second term bid, ” which is non-negotiable for the forthcoming general elections.We are calling on Preye Oseke to seek for second term in the National Assembly. We are ever determined to deliver him because we solidly behind him and we have shown our capacity in this rally.”

“I am calling on Southern Ijaw youths to massively support him because over time we had series of representatives in the National Assembly, and for record purpose, Preye Oseke has done well. He has become a beacon of hope in terms of legislative work, and as a seasoned politician, he has be able to keep the relationship with the grassroot tightly.

“Preye Oseke has changed the disconnect between the electorates and their leaders, that is why you are seen all youths from the wards and communities gathered here in solidarity calling on him to recontest to represent and give us unbias and purposeful representation.He has achieved alot including the agricultural university bill which was sponsored and passed second reading in the House, the Koluama erosion bill, etc.”

“He should not be detard because we are solidly behind him under the sun, or the rain.We are equally appreciating him for the developmental stride in Southern Ijaw which is beyond political party or sentiment. I urged all to return him back looking at the development witnessing in Southern Ijaw”, he concluded.

Also speaking, the Organizing Secretary of Preye Oseke Volunteers, Comrade Odogu Stephen, expressed gratitude to the overwhelming crowd that came to request Hon. Preye Oseke to contest for second term said no leader has surpassed the achievements of Hon. Preye Oseke in four years.

While the Ijaw Youth Council clan chairman, Comrade James Luis Asari described Hon Preye Influence Goodluck Oseke as the messiah that has come to change the ugly narrative of Southern Ijaw people, adding that they will not relent in making sure that he comes out victorious.

He noted that Hon. Preye Oseke has initiated various projects and programs that has reorient the mindset of the youths.

He said; “Today is a great day for the people of Southern Ijaw constituency 1 to host this mammoth crowd which are massively out for our leader. It is not easy because he has done very well for Southern Ijaw people.

“He single handedly renovated an old primary school which other leaders had abandoned. If you go to the school now, teachers and students are very happy learning.

“We will do our best to make sure that he wins the second term because he has changed the narrative of Southern Ijaw. Before now, people see us as militants, cultists but he has demonstrated that Southern Ijaw youths have something to showcase; looking at the unity football match he coordinated and everybody came out to support the program”, he stated.

In her remark, the Woman Leader of Preye Oseke Youth Volunteers, Miss Stample Esau Ebinebo said the rally was solely initiated by the Concern Youths of Southern Ijaw which deemed it fit to solidarize with Preye Oseke adding that he has performed tremendously well.

She said: “We are from the creeks that is why we come to this jetty where winds from the river blow us. We know the pains we have feeled as creek people, and we know that it means to know an representative that has worked as the way Hon. Preye Oseke worked.

“He did not only renovate schools but he constructed internal roads, bole holes. As we are speaking, there is an ongoing road project from Amassoma to Ogboinbiri, that is why we want him back to represent us in the House of Representatives come 2023 so that he can finish these projects and consolidate on the ones he has started.

Comrade Sawyor Albert, spokesman for General Christian Munemune however lend his voice saying “Preye Oseke has been a good influence to us so far”, adding that he will have the full support of the masses due to his immense contributions and achievements that are outstanding to the hearing of the people.
