According to sources, the soldier went to settle a beef between Greg and another youth currently struggling a girlfriend with him at the entrance of the street where he allegedly opened fire on the deceased.
“Both of them (Greg and the other civilian whose name is yet-to-be-identified) were struggling to get a particular girlfriend. We don’t know what happened, but when the army personnel arrived, one of them opened fire on the guy after a brief argument and he died at the spot.
“Today, the Idang community has mobilised and carried the corpse to the Afokang Prison calling for justice. The people of the community tried to enter the Prison yard but the security personnel guarding the prison didn’t allow them.
