The Nigerian Police Force on Monday said it has identified all the policemen in a viral video showing a woman they reportedly assaulted in Rivers State.

It was reported earlier on social media that the police in Rivers State, south-south Nigeria, say they had launched an investigation into a viral video showing a woman who was reportedly assaulted by policemen.

In the video seen by our Reporter on Monday, a group of policemen were accused of assaulting a woman, leaving her with wounds on her face and mouth.

In the viral video, the woman’s mouth was seen bleeding while a policeman who allegedly inflicted the injury was seen making a video of the environment. Others are seen searching her vehicle while some stood with some men who appeared to have stopped to intervene.
