IYC Embarks on Projects Inspection Tour in Bayelsa …Commends Gov. Douye Diri on developmental strides [PHOTOS]

The leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone earlier today embarked on a project inspection tour round Bayelsa State.
Facilities visited which included the just commissioned Imiringi bridge, Kaiama Referral Hospital, the ongoing beautification of Tombia round-about.

The Zonal Chairman, Comr. Clever Inodu after inspection and evaluation of the various projects with his team noted that the facilities so far seen are of standard.

He said: ‘we have heard of the projects commissioned by the Gov. Douye Diri led Government and therefore I and a team of expatriates coupled with other Ijaw Youth Leaders came to get firsthand information. It is worthy of note that the projects as we have seen on their completion are of standard and are worthy of commendation’.

Comr. Clever Inodu commended Gov. Douye Diri for the giant stride in continuity, noting that most of the projects were initiated by the previous administration but are completed through the effort of his administration.

‘Most of the projects visited were initiated by the previous administration but today have come to limelight through the effort of the Prosperity administration. It is a giant stride which our leaders need to learn from, as government is a continued process.

We are glad that this administration is ready to work on both old and new projects, therefore we plead for youths to be patient and supportive while Government is making plans on massive youth empowerment programs’.

The Chairman also urged operators of the the various facilities to exhibit a maintenance culture, make judicious use of the various facilities and also encouraged the Bayelsa State Government to follow up with contractors who are already mobilized to ensure that they deliver standard projects as we still await commensement and completion of the West and Central Senatorial roads, Yenagoa internal roads, Elebele bridge and others.

Comr Clever Inodu assured contractors of her readiness in partnership as regards to security, as the Council has a formidable security structure code named ‘IYC Security and Action Committee’, and finally prayed for the betterment of the Prosperity Administration.
