The Save Ijaw Nation Group (SING) has said that a restructured Nigeria, especially the Niger Delta zone, will birth a sense of responsibility and urgency to create wealth in the region with the very small window the nation still has to explore the wealth of oil. A statement made available to LEADERSHIP Friday yesterday signed by the gorup’s director of research, Dr Itari Turner, said that a restructured Nigeria will guarantee a free, fair, egalitarian, united, peaceful and prosperous nation where everybody, irrespective of states, religion, creed and status will be happy. Turner said the wastefulness which has hitherto plagued the Niger Delta will be curbed by restructuring. He said if the management and control of the resources of the Niger Delta back to it will help give them a sense of ownership and personal responsibility.
