A Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress APC in Yenagoa Local Government area of Bayelsa State, Barrister Benjamin Somezeme Ogbara has openly declares his readiness to represent the people of Yenagoa Constituency 1 in the State House of Assembly.
Fondly known as the “Ovoli ‘ voice’ of Epie-Atissa, Barr. Ogbara promised to use his experience as a legal practitioner with many years of successful stories to negotiate the needed development to the people of the constituency and resident in Yenagoa Capital city.
In his words;
“I am set to represent my people ( Epie-Atissa ) and all those who are resident in Yenagoa capital city of Yenagoa Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly”
“Through out my life, commencing from been class monitor from Primary 2 to Primary 6 and continuing from JSS 1 to being the Senior Prefect in 1995 and down to my days in Rivers State University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt ( now RSU) in the great Faculty of Law in 1997- 2003, my duty has been that of rendering service”.
“In my practice as a legal Practitioner having been called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004, I have used my career as a legal Practitioner to serve my immediate Epie-Atissa people, Bayelsa and humanity at large.”
“I have garnered experience in the political space having followed political issues from 1992 until date. I have served and garnered experience as Permanent Member 1, Universal Basic Education Board, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja ( July 2012-June 2015)”.
“I served as Director, Ethics and Compliance, Due Process Bureau, Bayelsa State ( December 2016 – October 2019)”.
“The call to serve my people is borne out of my undying desire to better the lots of my people and all those resident in Yenagoa Capital city. I will employ legislation that will improve the lives of the people Yenagoa Constituency 1”.
“I will carry all youth, women, men and the elderly along myself being a youth. I know what my people need and with sound legislative skills, lobbying and collaboration with the executive arm and ministries, parastatals and agencies of government at the Local, state and Federal government all our programmes shall be implemented to improve on the lives of our people and all those residing in Yenagoa Constituency 1”.
“I respect leadership and will always consult with the leaders of our great party, APC in achieving my programmes”.
