Activities for winding off the 5th Bayelsa State House of Assembly climaxed with a valedictory dinner in honour of the lawmakers described as the most stable and successful legislature in the history of the state.
The two day program of events kick started with a Thanksgiving service at the king of Glory chapel, govt house, yenagoa.
Governor seriake Dickson did not only grace the event as a special guest but took turns to lead praise and worship, dance and eulogized the heroic deeds of the 5th assembly led by the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Friday Konbowei Benson
It was thanksgiving galore as the leadership of the assembly accompanied by federal lawmakers, Executive Members, and well wishers thanked God for a successful tenure.
The lawmakers were also hosted to a State dinner at the Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha memorial Banquet hall,yenagoa were the state council for arts and culture, comedians and other Artistes performed to bid the members of the 5th assembly farewell.
In the overall, the fifth Assembly passed a total of 103 bills within a period of four years a feet many say helped to stabilize the State for rapid development.
