ADVERT RATE

Workers at the Federal High Court (FHC) in Abuja on Wednesday defied the strike order issued by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC.

It was observed that the Abuja FHC went about its normal activities.
Judges, staff, attorneys, and litigants in the high-rise FHC complex carried out their activities without any hindrances.

About eight courts were in session, just like on Tuesday.

However, a notice of a Congress meeting signed by the FHC’s Public Relations Officer, G.A. Maku, and sponsored by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), stated that an emergency meeting of all staff members was scheduled for 11:00 am today.

The notice reads: “All members of staff are expected to converge at Ukeje Hall @11am this morning for an emergency meeting.

“This meeting is noteworthy as members will be briefed on the position of the union with regards to the ongoing NLC strike action and other important issues please.”
