The Nigeria Police Force has arrested an Abuja socialite, popularly known as John Lyon, on suspicion of being a kidnapper.
A source with knowledge of the incident stated that the suspect who has been terrorising Bayelsa State was arrested in Abuja.
The source stated that the suspect was caught during a failed operation.
Videos of the suspect flaunting his luxurious lifestyle have been going viral on social media.
a security source who did not want his name mentioned revealed that the alleged Kidnapper was a former staff of Sterling Bank in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The Source also revealed his real name has John Ika Ewa. Alleging that many of his victims were big time customers in the Bank and other businessmen.
Some of his recent victims according to source, were top management staff of the Amarata branch of Sterling bank in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, were the suspect previously works as cleaner before he was sacked for alleged cash suppression.
The suspect had allegedly collected ransoms ruining into hundreds of Millions from his victims who are top management staff of Sterling Bank in Yenagoa.
According to documents available to NAIJA LIVE TV shows that, the suspect is from Akwagom-Eruan Community in Boki LGA of Cross River State.
He was Born on 22 Dec 1986. He was a former staff of Sterling bank.
He uses the name Lyon interior hub as a cover up for his many kidnapping activities and spends lavishly in clubs and claims to be a graduate of the University of Calabar.
He was recently involved in the kidnap of one Danjuma, one of the top Sterling bank staff. His criminal gang successfully collected over 50 Million naira ransoms.
Over N70Million was said to have been found in his personal bank account after his arrest.
During the 2019 elections, no doubt members of the society both Bayelsans and non-Bayelsans in their number supported the the APC party therefore, had access to the then Governor-Elect’s compound which was open to all and sundry to gain access and of course campaign t-shirts circulated freely hence, he must have had one during the process.
During and after the elections, Chief David Lyon has nothing personal to do with the suspect.

This is a reaction to the arrest of the suspected kidnapper, identified on his social media account as John Lyon in Abuja.
Reacting on his InstaStory on Sunday, Okoye wondered if any of the ladies that the suspect spent money on asked about his source of income.
He said, “A big boy was caught after discovering he was a kidnapper. But I wan ask oh, after seeing him with different ladies flaunting money, so none of these ladies. ever asked him that question? They don’t want to know, just bring make dem chop.” He said.
The suspect is well known in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State for his lavish lifestyle in Clubs and bars.
In the video which was seen online, the kidnapper confessed to belonging to a gang of kidnappers but stated that he has only kidnapped two people before he got arrested.
The suspect was heard begging for forgiveness. He alleged that his wife had just been put to bed and that his arresters should temper justice with mercy.
He pleaded for forgiveness as he claimed that his wife was just delivered a baby boy.
Crying, he said, “Forgive me, make una forgive me, my wife just born sef, a boy.”
