Easter: Let’s Render Prayers for our compatriot medical professionals fighting COVID-19 – Preye Oseke

The Member, Representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Preye Influence Goodluck Oseke has implored Christians and Nigerians in General to use the epitome of Jesus Christ and pray for our medical professional fighting COVID-19 in Nigeria as we celebrate Easter this year.

“I bring you greetings, my dear Constituents, as we commemorate Christ’s greatest achievement (His death) and the greatest act of God (Jesus’ resurrection)”

“In that vividly captured expression of love for humanity, the blood of Jesus dripped out of His heart and with crimson letters on Calvary, He etched the greatest love of all”

“Easter is symbolic of the power of love over the love for power. This was expressly depicted by the greatest act in the history of the human race, by the only begotten of God, Jesus on the Cross of Calvary”

“This year’s celebration came at a time the world is grappling to survive a pandemic that is threatening the very existence of mankind”

“The seemingly unimaginable has with rapidity spread across the globe. Global economies are wobbling, as industries close shop; streets emptied of people and worship centres now reaching out to their congregants via the internet. This can undoubtedly be said to be one of the greatest test of our faith, as believers”

“While we pray that God stretches out His hands to heal everyone battling with the Corona Virus across the world and in our dear nation Nigeria, and ultimately put an end to the scourge of the Corona Virus, we must not fail to thank God for sparing us as a state, Bayelsa, and by extension the great people of Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency from the pandemic”

“I implore you all to epitomize the love of Jesus for humanity, by rendering prayers for our compatriots (medical professionals) who have dedicated themselves to fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Also of importance is that we be our brothers keepers in our various communities, while taking heed to the directive of government, aimed at protecting us from the pandemic”

“Remember, prevention is better than cure, wash your hands as frequently as possible with soap and water and observe social distancing, as advised by medical experts”
