COVID-19: Senior Pastor, TROI Church Abuja distributes Preventive Kits to Coronavirus Taskforce

As part of efforts to contain the spread of the Corona Virus otherwise known as Covid-19, the Senior Pastor of Touch for Recovery Outreach International, TROI, Abuja Dr. Yusuf JS is distributing preventive kits to members of the taskforce in-charge of closing shop in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Making the distribution to taskforce team made up of various law-enforcement agencies in the country, Dr. Yusuf said, it is part of his commitment towards complimenting government’s efforts to contain the spread.

Dr. Yusuf JS who is also the founder of Dr. Yusuf Foundation, told reporters that it is important for well meaning individuals not to keep to quiet or just criticize government but to show love and care to people around them to ameliorate the suffering of people at this time of need.

Responding to questions from journalists, he explained that every efforts and contributions are needed by highly placed individuals to prevent the spread of the virus in Nigeria since there is no known cure for the virus insisting that more needs to be done in terms of prevention and awareness.

Dr. Yusuf said, ‘The times have provided us the opportunity to show love to one another in the spirit of brotherhood and to speak in one voice. Clearly, it is humanity above every other thing else as everybody is seeking to survive.

“Nobody is talking about political parties, ethnic groups or language but we are all faced with one thing, and that’s to survive and overcome the challenge facing us on the face because it is not particular to one person or group.

“Apart of the free distribution of these kits, I am putting up one of properties as an isolation centre in Abuja. The place will be open to any hospital that wants to use it within the period of treatment for patients”, he said

He, however, called on government to provide pallatives for the citizens as the stay-at-home order is been enforced to the letter not to allow hunger to cause more havoc to the people than the virus.

The preventive kits distributed by Dr. Yusuf include face masks, hand sanitizers and hand glooves for safety of the members of Taskforce for a successful operations.
