COVID-19: Need to assist the Local Dwellers in this hard time

As the impact of covid-19 continues to affect different businesses due to the measures put in place by various state governments all in the effort to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country,people rising a daily wages were barred from going about their business due to the lockdown order been enforced, the situation that bring about hardship to many household across the country.

Also, as part of their effort to cushion the effect and alleviate the suffering of the less privilege,the federal Government and some states have flag up palliative distribution .Inaddition, the federal government has assisted Lagos state government with the sum of ten billion naira to use in fighting the deadly virus.

According to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, says the relief items being given by the federal governments as palliative over the coronavirus-induced lockdown would reach only 25 per cent of Nigerians.However,their is a need for all the people to reach out to less privilege around the community in their own little way in order to complement the effort of the government.

Finally, Government at local level were also, urge to come out with an initiative that will be designed towards supporting the local dwellers at this critical moment with foods and others basic needs.
