ADVERT RATE

In view of the alarming security challenges besetting the various Communities, the Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi for Senate Campaign Organization has called on community leaders, traditional rulers, CDC Chairmen, women leaders, youths leaders and all spirited persons to partner with security agencies by reporting movement of suspected characters within their localities, all the time and more particularly during election season.

A press statement, signed by Hon. Ofoni Williams, the APC campaign Director General of Rt. Hon. Peremowei Ebebi for Senate for the Bayelsa West Senatorial bye-election slated for 31st October, 2020.

According to the Director General of the campaign group, Hon. Ofoni Williams, the call has become necessary following the dire need to ensure that electoral violence is reduced to its barest in order to avoid a repeat of the sordid experiences that befell on law abiding citizens.

The campaign Organization notes that already, there are clear indications of plans perfected by some selfish politicians to engage thugs across the Niger Delta for the forthcoming bye-elections of the Bayelsa West Senatorial District slated for 31st October, 2020.

It should be recalled that the failure to report questionable characters had led to the gruesome murder of Mr. Ebikoro of Tungbabiri community on 2nd February, 2019, noting that even when APC members were able to apprehend the suspects involved in the unfortunate execution of the said victim and handed them over to the police in Sagbama LGA., nothing fruitful has come out to serve as a measure of deterrence in order to nip in the bud a reoccurrence of such dastardly act. The above undesirable scenario has given encouragement to the perpetrators of the heinous crime and is set to do same in Sagbama LGA.

The community leaderships should note that they owe it as a duty to partner with security agents to maintain law and order always, more particularly too, to ensure that they contribute their own quota towards violent-free elections.

The DG. Hon. Ofoni. D. Williams notes that because it’s for the good of our collective interest, all hands must, therefore, be on deck to achieve the desired peace and enjoy violent-free elections.

The DG notes that the APC candidate, Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi is favourably disposed to violent-free elections come October 31st 2020 and has perfected measures to ensure a hitch free elections, which, according to Hon. Ofoni Williams is an evidence of fruit of an humble person.

As a result, the campaign organisation has no doubt and therefore, would not hesitate to call on the electorates to vote massively for Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi come October 31st 2020 for the senatorial bye- elections.

The campaign organisation further notes that the said movement of suspected persons to the home of some self-seeking politicians is only excusable for the reason of stomach infrastructure and its justification motivated the candidate of the PDP for the bye-election of Oct 31st 2020 to engage in an unprecedented misrule and inflicted excruciating pains on innocent Bayelsans while he reigned eight years ago. So the development is a clear manifestation of failure of his Restoration Government while the actual meaning of restoration lost its value.

In a nut shell, the campaign Organization states that the events at the home of Hon. H, S. Dickson is a show of primitive distribution of resources, occasioned by misplaced, misdirected and mismanagement of Hon. H.S. Dickson’s reign as Governor of Bayelsa state.
