Grassroots involvement in politics and politicking is very sacrosanct to the advancement of democracy in any given society as having grassroot support means having the backing of the people.
It is in recognition of this fact that the special assistant on media to the APC governorship candidate chief Timipre Slyva, Julius Bokoru visited his hometown IKIBIRI community to canvas support for his boss.
BOKORU who was accompanied by the yenagoa local government area coordinator of the Slyva/Maclver state APC campaign, high chief Sonme Ogilogi and other party chieftains first visited the house of the deputy paramount ruler of the community where he was showered with prayers.
Enumerating the many benefits enjoyed by the IKIBIRI people under the past Sylva administration, BOKORU and Chief Ogilobi urged the people of ikibiri to vote Sylva in order to bring back infrastructural, social and economic development to the community.
Recognizing Slyva’s past feats to be beneficial,
Members of the community promised to massively vote for APC and petitioned them to carry the community along.
As the date for the governorship elections draw closer, party supporters are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the victory of their choice candidates and that is exactly what Julius BOKORU intends to achieve as he amasses grassroot support for APC and Sylva.
