ABSENTEE COUNCIL STAFF TO FORFEIT SALARIES — HON. BELLO BINA

…. Staff Accept 50 Percent Salary Payment Effective From March, 2016.

The caretaker Committee Chairman of Brass Local Government Area, Hon. Bello Bina, has warned that staff of the Council, who habitually absent themselves from work would henceforth forfeit their salaries.

The Chairman, who gave the warning at the Council Secretariat in Twon-Brass said his administration would invoke the “no work, no pay” as contained in the Public Service Rules, adding that a situation where some staff completely abandon their duty posts for months, only to resurface during salary payment was no longer acceptable.

Hon. Bina, who met an almost empty Council Secretariat on arrival there on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, to commence payment of February salaries to workers of the Council, frowned at the attitude of some staff, who do not come to work at all.
