Akassa Indigenes cries-out as IOCs Operation Cripples their Livelihood [VIDEO]

Indigenes of Akassa Clan in Brass Local Gov’t area of Bayelsa state has expressed dismay over the repeated neglect of oil producing communities along the Akassa coastline by Agip oil Company and the government.

This was made known to NAIJA LIVE TV in a town hall meeting held by representatives of communities in Akassa Clan of Brass LGA of Bayelsa State.

The people lamented over the environmental degradation caused by Agip Oil Company and how it has affected their everyday livelihood.

They also express their sadness, stating that the gains of the oil exploration of Agip oil Company far outweighs the devastating consequences being experienced by the various communities.

Hon. Bina while assuring the people, called on them to shun the act of pipeline vandalism and focus on positive measures that will bring benefit to the Akassa Clan.
