An intelligence-led operation by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, has resulted in the killing of three suspected bandits and the rescue of nine kidnap victims in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The victims, including farmers abducted from their farmlands and others kidnapped earlier in neighboring Ekiti State, regained their freedom after the suspects fled under heavy gunfire.
The operation was carried out jointly by the DSS, the Kwara State Forest Guards, local hunters, and vigilantes in the Obbo-Aiyegunle, Ejiu-Ora, and Osi axis of Ekiti LGA, along the Kwara-Ekiti border.
