U.S. CENTCOM LAUNCHES HEAVY STRIKES ON IRAN AFTER MISSILE ATTACKS ON U.S. FORCES

The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, says it has launched a heavy wave of strikes against Iran following Iranian missile attacks on United States forces a day earlier.

In a statement, CENTCOM said the operation targeted dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC, facilities across Iran.

The command said the strikes hit military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense sites, as well as maritime capabilities.

According to CENTCOM, the operation was carried out in direct response to the Iranian missile attacks.
