TRIBUTE TO MY DARLYN HUSBAND BY Agatha Goma

I write this tribute in total honor of who you were to me , our children and what you meant to us . I will forever be grateful to God for the decision we both made to become man and wife and to build a strong nation together 26 years ago. No one can replace that special part of my heart carved out just for you. No one . if I am given the opportunity i will accept to be your wife all over again..

You were a man of integrity and impeccable character . Your departure has left a huge gap in our home , and Gods love is the only substance able to fill that vacuum . You had your irreplaceable ways with me and with each of our lovely children . Our children which you treated with individuality , building a strong character in them will surely follow the christ like foundation you laid .. Our children that you so loved and cherished.

You were never afraid to let people become , even at your own loss . it will forever remain in my memory , like the stars remain in the skies , the day you encouraged me to run for the Rivers State House of Assembly , year 1991. I looked into your ever supportive eyes and asked what the House of Assembly meant . You had just turned down same request made to you by some folks from your community . You told me it is a place were laws are made . I looked into your eyes… Straight into your brown eyes and said ‘” Girls don’t contest for elections” Do you remember what you said ? Because i will never forget . You said to me , ” You can !” And you meant it .
You saw something in me that even i didn’t know , Darlyn , i can never recover from you and ail that you stood for . You were a calm , courageous man . You were my king , my lord . Its all over you , because of you , the blind see , the hopeless receive hope , the bogus is humbled , foe scared receive strength . You were and still an inspiration , many look up to you . Your handsomeness was an asset many wished for themselves to have.

Darlyn even now it seems to me, that you are sculpted and engraved into our hearts , our minds and our our lives . That your joyous aura and infection ambiance remains with us even in your absence , Darlyn , I love you , i always have, I always will ..
My beloved , set up a seal upon mine heart , as a seal is upon my arm ; for love is as strong as death.
