Third Force no match for Buhari – Ex-minister

A former minister, Alhaji Yusuf Sulaiman, has expressed optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari will win his re-election bid, saying he represents hope to the average Nigerian. He added that the ‘Third Force’ was no match for Buhari’s movement.
Suleiman, who recently dumped PDP for APC, was minister for Transport and later Youths and Sports under the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
“Nigeria, for so long has not had a leader that the people trust like Buhari. It is a matter of trust and when the people trust you, then they are ready to put their hopes in you,” he said.
He described Buhari’s popularity as divine, adding that the president is like “a movement because people believe in him.”
On his present political aspiration, Sulaiman disclosed that: “My goal is to work for the success of the APC in the coming general elections.
“My aspirations in the past years were because of the belief that I have a lot to offer, and even now I still believe I have a lot to offer to ensure the development of Sokoto State. I still believe I can do a lot in that regard. But, I only rely on whatever responsibility that my party wants me to do,” he said.
