“Stop insulting Wike, Judiciary, Police” — Rivers Group cautions Hon. Ikenga Ugochenyere of Imo

The Rivers Restoration Movement (RRM) has cautioned the lawmaker representing ldeato North South Federal Constituency of Imo state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ikenga Ugochenyere, over his remarks targeted at the former governor of Rivers state and now FCT Minister, H.E Nyesom Wike, the Nigeria Judiciary and the Nigeria Police.

In a statement titled “STOP INSULTING THE FCT MINISTER, THE JUDICIARY, THE NIGERIAN POLICE” and signed by Hon. Johnson Georgewill (Director General of RRM), and Mrs. Sarima Akpata (Secretary RRM), the group frowned at the statements from the lmo Federal lawmaker and wondered his interference in Rivers state politics knowing that he is not a voter in the state.

Condemning the actions of Hon. Ikenga Ugochenyere, RRM calls for a decisive action to stop further utterances. The group noted that it will not hesitate to mobilize Rivers people to Lodge a formal complain in the National Assembly if it continues and appealed to the Minister of the FCT to ignore the lawmaker who they said contributed nothing to the emergence of Governor Siminalayi Fubara in 2023.

“The attention of the leadership of Rivers Restoration Movement (RRM) has been drawn to a series of insults and paid attacks on the FCT Minister, H.E Nyeson Wike CON, Life Bencher, our reverred Judiciary and some Govt agencies over the political crisis in Rivers State. As a group we take exception to the recklessness exhibited by this political jobber and busybody called Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere representing Ideato North South Federal Constituency. RRM and well meaning Rivers people are forced to wonder why a man that is not an indigene of Rivers State, voted by the people of Imo State to serve them, does not live or vote in Rivers State will be hired with Rivers resources to insult our leaders and government institution.

“AS A GROUP IN PARTNERSHIP WITH RIVERS PEOPLE WE HAVE DECIDED TO MAKE OUR STAND ON THIS ISSUE

1) RRM totally condemn the blackmailing and insult on the FCT MINISTER and leader of Rivers State politics, the Senate President, the Judiciary and the Nigerian police by Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere and we call on Mr President to take decisive action on renegades like this that can destroy our democracy through unguarded utterances.

“2) RRM is calling on the good people of Rivers State to protect Rivers State from paid Intruders like Ikenga Ugochinyere milking Rivers State dry while many Rivers people wallow in abject poverty.

” 3) RRM appeals to the leader of Rivers State politics and Minister of the FCT to continue to ignore this hired mecenary called Ikenga Ugochinyere that had nothing to do with the emergence of Gov Sim in 2023 when you worked day and night with your political structure to deliver.

“Fiinally RRM and it’s affiliate groups in the 23 LGA in Rivers State is calling on the busy body lawmaker in Abuja to resign if he is bereft of ideas to contribute in the   National Assembly rather than constitute nuisance publicly. As a group we will mobilize thousands of Rivers people to the National Assembly to Lodge a formal complain if the Speaker, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas does not tame this political jobber. We are bold to say that Rivers people will continue to stand with the FCT Minister because we know the day of reckoning is close for all betrayals,” the statement read.
