A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Great Joshua Maciver, has resigned from the ruling party.

Maciver, who is the Bayelsa Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2023 election, hinted that his resignation was based on personal reasons.

His resignation was disclosed via a letter addressed to the APC Chairman in Olodiama 2, Ward 4 in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state, and made available to newsmen.

“I, MR. JOSHUA MACIVER, a card-carrying member and the immediate past Deputy Governorship candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 Governorship Election in Bayelsa State, hereby resign and withdraw my membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
