….COVID-19 Situation report from Port Harcourt

From information reaching NAIJA LIVE TV that Rumuomasi-Elekahia axis in Port Harcourt is a very high risk area of COVID-19 because of the Mingi Guest House confirm case.

COVID-19 Test conducted on staff of the hotel shows 5 of them are already symptomatic and there is fear of community spread in the area.

According to Source; The deceased who is the owner of Mingi Guest House had visited Pamo Clinic, before he died at home.

The manager who is now positive visited a side lab, “Mercyland Clinic” and also has a nurse who visited his house to provide health services in the Hotel were the deceased was treated before he died of COVID-19

Meanwhile, the Pamo Hospital we’re he was allegedly treated has reacted to the claim.

The Statement Read in part;
“The patient was referred to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital. Phone numbers of NCDC and Rivers state COVID-19 Response Team was given to him for him to contact them.

We telephoned him the next day and he said he was also directed by UPTH staff to contact the Rivers state COVID-19 Response team which he said he did and was ONLY told to isolate himself”.
