PHOTOS: Presidential Amnesty Students Protest in Novena University over alleged non payment of allowances, others

Students under the Scholarship of the Presidential Amnesty Programme are currently protesting at the school gate of Novena University in Delta State.

The protest started as early as 6am this Friday morning, the reason for the protest can not be immediately ascertain but it is unconnected to the non payment of Students allowances by the Presidential amnesty office.

Some of the students were armed with placards; “This is a peaceful protest”
“Novena University, Stop wasting our time and Stop defrauding students”

NAIJA LIVE TV gathered that, Novena University is currently having her second semester examination for the 2021/2022 academic session and the protest has halted the examination that was scheduled to hold for today (Friday 26th August 2022)

An insider in the Presidential Amnesty office who do not want his name publish dispel the allegations of the alleged non payment for verified students in the school. “we are not owing any verified students, we usually pays all our students allowances three months upfront”

The School gate is still locked as at press time.
