PDP, Dickson has no substance to campaign, hence resorted to blackmail, calumny – Chief David Lyon

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief David Lyon, said the the People Democratic Party (PDP) and Bayelsa state Governor, Seriake Dickson, has no substance to campaign with, hence they has resorted to a campaign of calumny and blackmail.

Reacting to a statement credited to the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson and the PDP candidate, Douye Diri, that the APC will introduced criminality, Lyon, advised Dickson, to tell Bayelsans what he did with the trillions of Naira accrue to the state in eight years of his government instead of engaging in cheap blackmail and fantasies.

A statement by Chief Gift Ebiki, media aide to the APC candidate, David Lyon said, “Our attention has been drawn to careless and unguarded statement credited to the loquacious and out-going Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, during the commissioning of the Douye Diri campaign office in Yenagoa, on Monday.

“Ordinarily, we would not have answer to his countless lies, intimidation and attempts to misled the voting public and Bayelsans, who are daily getting tired of his rhetorical lies.

“However, we have to put it in records that Dickson and his cohorts where the ones that planned to create violence in the last election which was resisted by the APC in the last election in Southern Ijaw LGA

“He is so worried that David Lyon has promised to restored security in the state which is not in tandem with Governor Dickson and his cohorts. Under Dickson, Bayelsa recorded the highest case of cult related killings, armed robbery, kidnapping and other criminality.

“We are calling on Dickson to give account of the billions of dollars accrue to the state through the 13 percent derivation funds which was meant for the development of oil bearing communities, 

“Dickson, has squandered billions of naira meant for the development of oil bearing communities without giving account and no sign of anything done in these communities even though by law the money was meant primarily to develops oil bearing communities.

Chief David Lyon, said, “In the case of Douye Diri, I, David Lyon, will not dissipates my energy on him because he is a stooge of Dickson. I am not contesting election with him but with his godfather, Dickson, I will not argue with him here, but wait for him on any day in a debate before the election.

“Bayelsans are aware of the antics of Dickson, who is in the habit of crying wolf when he is the architect of all Insecurity in the state

“Dickson is now crying when he know the game is over as his party has been  totally rejected by the people who have become wiser 

“We advice Dickson to send emissaries to say thank you to David Lyon, for putting food on the table of many Bayelsans families through his private business, a task which is supposed to be the primary responsibility of Governor Dickson, as custodian of the people’s wealth.

“Why is Dickson afraid of his own shadow? He has suddenly become jittery of his own political future after the people rejected the unpopular candidate he foisted on them.

“Dickson and his PDP has no substance to campaign, they are not telling Bayelsans what they did with the trillions of naira they got from the federation account in the last eight years. 

“They are not telling Bayelsans, what they did with all the loans they collected from several banks, amounting to billions of naira. Instead, they have turn the campaign to a campaign of calumny against the person of David Lyon.”
