The aggrieved party members from ward 14 ,in a signed statement issued yesterday in Yenagoa and Sent to NaijaLiveTv.com noted that with data and brief historical background into the political history With all the various political appointments in all the Wards, “We were shocked beyond words that a State party chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas would boldly declare that Ward 14 is barred from contesting the state house of Assembly elections just because Late Hon. Bometei Alamene was a member of the state house of Assembly of which he did not even successfully complete a single term in office.”

“Also added as the result of the “SIN” of Ward 14 is to barr them from conducting the just concluded ward delegate congress in the party. With the clear disobedience to the State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson directive and the stakeholders of the constituency, the State PDP chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas, without consulting the ward 14 leadership, single handedly Shortlisted the delegates in the ward without regard to the constituent.”

“As a constituent, we have agreed that what the State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas did was a clear violation of party rules and an unacceptable slap on the faces of the people of the area. We demand ,as a matter of urgency, that a new delegate election be held.”

” The Zoning of the Assembly ticket to Apoi ward 15 is unacceptable to us for the following reasons: With due respect Sir, we refer you to the data where the various political appointees are displayed with names, tenure abs benefits. You will see that all the wards are been loaded with political appointment exception of ward 14 which has been abandoned and neglected, the so called apoi ward which is ward 15 has produced more than four commissioners with the statistics showing below, therefore there is no way we can open our eyes wide to see this injustice in our generation.”

“In your recent cabinet reshufflement the only political appointment from the ward 14 was Hon. Williams Alamene Former Commissioner for Environment, was recently sacked only for us to see that the position was given to Hon. Ebipatei Apaingolo Commissioner for Environment, from Koluama 2 in ward 17 where his father is a serving member of the NDU Governing Council Board. A ward where by political appointments are over loaded with.”

“With all fairness, and justice, Ward 14 is qualified to contest the house of Assembly Position to Keep the PDP family in one. Sir, Use your good office to look into this matter, knowing fully well that during the general election, the State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas will be in Koluama 2 not be in ward 14, which is Foropah, Ekeni and Ezetu Communities.”

” It is only the leadership of the PDP family in ward 14 that will be in those communities. if its that easy, why is it that Hon. Moses Cleopas and his people do not bring results for the past two elections in Koluama 2 ward 17.

With this singular act, the State party chairman, Hon. Cleopas Moses does not have the Charisma to lead the party to a victory during the fourth coming general elections. Therefore, the leadership of ward 14 here by pass a vote of no confident on the state party chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas.”

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE PDP STAKEHOLDERS IN WARD 14 SILGA CONSTITUENCY 4

ON THE IMPOSITION OF AN ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE AND THE UNINCLUTION OF THE LEADERSHIP IN THE JUST CONCLUDED PARTY WARD AD-HOC DELIGATE CONGRESS.

Gentlemen of the Press,

In line with data and brief historical background into the political history With all the various political appointments in all the Wards. We are shocked beyond words that the State party chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas would boldly declare that Ward 14 is barred from contesting the state house of Assembly seat just because Late Hon. Bomotei Alamene was a member of the state house of Assembly, who does not complete a full term.

Also added as a result of the “SIN” of Ward 14 is to barred them from conducting the just concluded ward Ad-hoc delegate congress in the party.

Contrary to the directive of the leadership of the party, Stakeholders of the constituency, of conducting free and fair ward Ad-hoc delegate congresses. The State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas without consulting the ward 14 leadership, single handedly shortlisted the delegates list, in the ward without regard to the constituent. Which is a clear indication of disobedience to the State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson.

As a constituent, we have agreed that what the State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas did was a clear violation of party rules and regulations which is unacceptable and a slap on the faces of the people of the area.

political appointees are displayed with names, tenure abs benefits.

You will see that all the wards are been loaded with political appointment exception of ward 14

which has been abandoned and neglected, the so called apoi ward which is ward 15 has produced more than four commissioners with the statistics showing below, therefore there is no way we can open our eyes wide to see this injustice in our generation.

Sir, in your recent reshuffled cabinets, the only political appointee from ward 14 Hon. Williams Alamene , Commissioner for Environment, was sacked only for us to see that the position was given to Hon. Ebipatei Apaingolo, Commissioner for Environment, in ward 17 (Koluama 2), whereby his father is a serving member of the NDU Governing Council Board and also the deputy Chairman Sigla Cacus. A ward over loaded with political appointments.

Sir, it will interest you to take a look at the total number of Registered voters that makes up Southern Ijaw Constituency 4. SILGA Constituency 4 has a total voting strength of about 49,962 voters.

Below is a breakdown of the total number of registered voters that make up Southern Ijaw Constituency 4:

a. Ward 3 Olodiama 1 5 ,196 Registered Voters

b. Ward 4 Olodiama 11 4,938 Registered Voters

c. Ward 14 Foropah 9,352 Registered Voters

d. Ward 15 Apoi 7,551 Registered Voters

e. Ward 16 Bassan (Ukubie) 13,039 Registered Voters

g. Ward 17 Koluama 9,886 Registered Voters

With the above record, Ward 14 has a voting strength of 20% Registered Voters in the Constituency, which makes ward 14 to be 3rd position in Constituency 4, a ward that has a deter minding factor in the Constituency to win any election in Bayelsa State is suppose to be handle with care, but it was a different thing we receive entirely .

With all fairness, and justice, Ward 14 is qualified to contest the house of Assembly Position to Keep the PDP family in one. Sir, Use your good office to look into this matter, knowing fully well that during the general election, the State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas will be in ward 17 (Koluama 2) and not in ward 14, which is Foropah, Ekeni and Ezetu Communities. It is only the leadership of the PDP family in ward 14 that will be in those communities. if its that easy, why is it that Hon. Moses Cleopas and his people do not bring results for the past two elections in ward 17 Koluama 2.

With this singular act, of the State party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas does not have the Charisma to lead the party to a victory during the fourth coming general elections.

Base on the facts stated above

We thereby resolve as follows:

1. We the stakeholders of ward 14, hereby totally condemed the Act, of the State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas.

2. We the Stakeholders of ward 14, demand an Apology from the State Party Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas for under minding the leadership of the ward.

3. We demand as a matter of urgency, that a new ward Ad-hoc delegate congress be held.

4. The Zoning of the Assembly ticket to Apoi ward 15 is unacceptable to us for the above reasons:

5. Therefore, the leadership of ward 14 hereby pass a vote of no confident on the state party chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas.
