The Foundation For Ijaw Youth Empowerment, (FIYE) has called on the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to investigate the resent N3Billion CBN Agric loan scandal surrounding the Bayelsa state government.

In a statement Signed by the President of FIYE, Comrade Samson O Ajagbini called on the EFCC to without delay conduct a thorough investigation to clear the black dust in contact with the said Fund.

“The fraud allegations surrounding the 3 billion Naira Bayelsa State Agric Loan should not be swept under the carpet”

“The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, (EFCC), should without delay conduct a thorough investigation to clear the black dust in contact with the said Fund”

“Nevertheless, anybody indicted of mismanagement by the EFCC should face the might of the law accordingly regardless of his/her status”

“I believe prosecuting such persons will serve as deterrent to others when they found themselves in-charge of positive life changing programmes like this”

“The loan fund has claimed, was disbursed since March 2020 but some beneficiaries are just beginning to clear bushes, instead of harvesting. What an irony.?”

“It’s high time all well meaning and patriotic Bayelsans come together and stand against this evil syndrome, called corruption in the only Ijaw state.”

“However, mismanagement and diversion of public and interventionist funds have hindered the Jerusalem of Ijawnation from attaining meaningful infrastructure and human develop.”

“This act of man inhuman to man, greed and un-patriotism should be unanimously put to an end, to enable Bayelsa be the Glory Of All Nation in reality.”

“Consequently, our people in leadership position should bear in mind that power is transcend, they will some days leave that office and be on the side of the governed. So it is judicious not to relinquish the purpose of your election/ appointed and work for the interest of the people you govern/represent.”
