The appointment of Prof. Allen Aziba-Odumomsi Agih as Substantive Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Niger Delta University (NDU), was announced on Monday, 19th June, 2023.
Prof Allen Aziba-Odumomsi Agih’s appointment for a single term of Five (5) years was approved by the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State/Visitor of the University by the recommendation of the joint Council/Senate Selection Committee.
Prof. Allen Aziba-Odumomsi Agih is a Professor of Educational Management, who joined the University in 2002 as an Assistant Lecturer.
He became a Professor in 2017, and has held various positions in the University which include; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) 2021-2023, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) 2019-2021, Director, Advancement and Linkages Centre (2012-2019), Acting HOD Educational Foundations (2012-2013) and Hall Warden (2011-2013).
The new Substantive VC is from Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa state, Nigeria.
