Idumange, who was arrested by security operatives on Wednesday, March 10, at the gate of a Yenagoa-based radio station had published that Agadaga and Akpe allegedly received some millions of naira for farm clearing under an agricultural programme of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Bayelsa State.

Agadaga and Akpe had petitioned Idumange to the police over the publication and that such allegations were false and maliciously made to tarnish their reputation on different social media platforms.

The police only brought Idumange to court for a request to remand him to enable them carry out a thorough investigation into the matter before appropriate charges could be pressed against him.

The presiding Magistrate, Tari Mirin Johnson, granted the request of the police to remand Mr. Idumange for 30 days.

However, he has been granted bail having perfected the conditions.
