Kingsley Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information in Kogi State, has dismissed rumours that he is planning to run for the House of Representatives in the Yagba Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.
In an interview with the DAILY INDEPENDENT, Fanwo stated that his only political desire right now is to see Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the state governor, become President of Nigeria in 2023, a project to which he said he is fully dedicated.
“On the subject of my running for the Yagba Federal Constituency in 2023, it is best to dismiss it as a rumor. My greatest political ambition and absolute dedication is to see my Governor become Nigeria’s next President.”
Despite the fact that the governor has not proclaimed his intention to run, he said it will be tough for him to refuse the requests of Nigerians pleading with him to do so.
“Even if he (Yahaya Bello) has not stated his desire to run, he will be unable to withstand the pressure from Nigerians. That is my goal, and I am fully dedicated to it.”
Massive and intense appeals have been made in recent months for the governor to run for the presidency in 2023. Women, youth, and the majority of Nigerians youths have accepted the undeniable fact that GYB’s magic touch can turn our country’s fortunes around.
