JUST IN: Bayelsa State House of Assembly Elect Rt. Hon. Monday Obolo as New Speaker Amidst Missing Mace

Some Members of the Bayelsa State house of Assembly has elected Rt. Hon. Monday Obolo as New Speaker. 

Earlier, Thugs invaded the Bayelsa state house of Assembly and ran away with the mace. 

The Lawmakers were said to brought in a New mace and elected Hon. Monday as the New Speaker. 

The Former Speaker of the Bayelsa State house of Assembly Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah has refused to Resigns his Position as speaker despite the pressures from the Governor. 

The former Speaker was said to have been pressured by the State Governor Hon. Seriake Dickson and some PDP Stakeholders to Resigns his Position to give way for Southern Ijaw LGA lawmaker to come in as Speaker to share votes in the LGA.
