President Muhammadu Buhari President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said he has not acquired a new house, share and bank account in the country and  abroad, other than the ones he declared in 2015 when he was sworn in for first term. 

The president submitted his assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB). By law, the filling and submission must precede his oath-taking for second term today, May 29. 

The completed forms were submitted to the Chairman of the CCB, Professor Mohammed Isa, on behalf of the President by Sarki Abba, Senior Special Assistant, Domestic Affairs. 

The forms, as signed by the President and sworn to before a Judge of Abuja High Court, showed no significant changes in assets he declared in 2015. 

The chairman of the CCB commended for declaring his assets in accordance with the law.

The presidency in September 2015 said Buhari had N30m  in his bank account before taking office on May 29 2015, while Mr. Osinbajo had N94m and $900,000. 

The president owns five houses in Kaduna, Daura, Kano and Abuja, and two undeveloped plots of land, one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt, his office said. Buhari also has farms, an orchard, ranch, livestock including 270 cattle, 25 sheep, five horses, a variety of birds and a number of economic trees
