The central zone chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Clever Inodu, on Saturday, paid tribute to King Frederick William Koko, Mingi VIII of Nembe Kingdom in commemoration of the 2022 King Koko day celebration.

NAIJA LIVE TV gathered that Inodu was accompanied to Nembe Kingdom by Chiefs from his paternal clan (Okoroma) and other notable youth leaders.

In his remark, Inodu reiterated that Nembe Kingdom remains the source of what is today known as the Ijaw struggle.

According to him, King Koko is being celebrated because of the revolution he embarked upon against tyranny, nepotism, corruption and marginalization by the British colonial masters in 1895.

He sued for peace and unity among youths from Nembe, stating that it is the only way to experience progressive development.
