The House to House Campaign Organization, an indigenous campaign group in Bayelsa State in collaboration with other NGOs and individuals has called on the ex-officio 3 of the Bayelsa APC, Hon. Humprey Highlife to contest for the forthcoming assembly elections in Sagbama Constituency 2.
The group’s coordinator, Senr Comr Owei Fano made the call unbehalf of the group and other NGOs after a crucial meeting yesterday, stating that, Sagbama Constituency 2 needs a vibrant and youth friendly youth, a project oriented and people driven to represent the Constituency .
According to the coordinator, the present occupant of the assembly seat has performed below the people’s expectations with little or nothing to show for, no impact.
He said that the Constituency and ward 11 has been marginalized for all these years from getting the assembly ticket, despite the fact that, the ward produces the largest number of votes.
He also explained that the assembly member and the PDP graciously wasted the constituency 8 years and that sagbama constituency two has no representative in the committee of assembly members in terms of human and capital development, reaching out to the people, inability to attract meaningful and social amenities to the constituency, that has been a doom and a ghost representation for a good 8 years.

(Coordinator) Funkebi Atabala (Secretary) while making the call, further explained that, it’s a time we look beyond party politics, and that party politics is the major indicator depriving the constituency from development, keeping the younger ones in perpetual bondage, as youths who always played the key roles in all the elections, should jettison party politics and look for the best to represent them, he plead with all to always put the development of the constituency at first to support their follow youth to mount the office to change the ugly narrative as youths in the state and national assembly are performing beyond even expectations.

Who knows this is the time God will bring a humble servant like Humphrey with the fear of God to salvage the people of sagbama constituency two from the case of underdevelopment.”

The group rising from the meeting with other NGOs and individuals on the 14th day of February 2022, called on Comrade Humphrey Highlife to respond to the call and that it is a call to serve.
In a unanimous statement, they describe him as a philanthropist, an humble servant to all, a generous man across board who put the interest of the people as his first priority, they noted that, on assumption of office as an ex-officio 3 member of the APC, he was able to reach out to hundreds of people in the constituency and leaders beyond party line therefore, the group is hopeful that,he will do well as an assembly member.
The group also used the opportunity to call on all stakeholders, APC party faithfuls including those who believes on the creek agenda to support him for a better representation.
