A group known as the Bayelsa East Non-Alliance Movement (BEAM) has passed a vote of confidence on Chief Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, the Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the National Assembly for his good performance representation.
The group, comprised of several stakeholders from Ogbia, Nembe, and Brass Local Government Areas in Bayelsa East Senatorial District, lauded the lawmaker’s performance since assuming office in 2019.
Convener of the group, Comrade Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, in a statement obtained by Mangrovepen.ng, listed many projects, bills and motions the senator has successfully facilitated since being elected into office.
He said that considering the impressive work the lawmaker has done within the first term, Senator Degi will do more if given another four years.
Ikuli stressed that the one-term zoning arrangement between Ogbia, Nembe, and Brass Local Government Areas in the Bayelsa East Senatorial District is no longer fashionable.
He added that the people of the district are consequently being denied good representation in the senate, including being deprived of producing a ranking senator.
He further disclosed that members of the group have decided to buy the senator the nomination form to encourage him to run for a second term to enable him to continue with his good representation.
