Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has said, his administration has a great working relationship with all security agencies operating in the state to ensure safety and peace in the land.
The Governor was speaking when he received the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Farouk Yahaya, at the Government House, Yenagoa.
Sen. Diri, who congratulated Gen. Yahaya, on his appointment urged the people of the state to always provide the needed support and information that will help the security tackle crimes and criminalities.
“Let me on behalf of the Prosperity Government and the good people of Bayelsa State, welcome you and your entourage to Bayelsa State.
Let me also use this opportunity to formally congratulate you on your appointment as the 22nd Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Army.
“We pray that God will grant you the wisdom, and the knowledge to command the current Nigerian Army in all facets administratively, to ensure that Nigeria will be a peaceful place to live in. I will like to at this point appreciate Bayelsans for their security consciousness, and for supporting the government and security agencies for the peace that we enjoy in this state”.
