His tweet was accompanied with a picture of woman with name Adenike Tinubu, MD, Opelousas, LA | Family Physician.
Verification:
The Nation analysed the picture using various techniques, including keyframe analysis, reverse image search and VPN.
We can confirm that the woman in the picture is Dr. Nika Nakia and not Adenike Tinubu.
Her picture was obtained and edited from Zocdoc (a New York City-based company offering an online service that allows people to find and book in-person or telemedicine appointments for medical or dental care).
A visit to Zocdoc app using VPN, reveals the same picture with different name “Dr. Nika Nakia | Family Physician.
A research into her background on www.topnpi.com shows that she graduated from George Washington University School Of Medicine and not Chicago State University.
Her bio reads “Dr. Nika Nakia specializes in general practice in Glen Burnie, MD and has over 20 years of experience in the field of medicine.
“She graduated from George Washington University School Of Medicine with her medical degree in 2003.
“She is affiliated with numerous hospitals in Maryland and more, including Usphs Lawton Indian Hospital. Dr. Nika Nakia is licensed to practice by the state board in New Jersey (25MA08365700).
“Dr. Nika Nakia also practices at 7116 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD. She is accepting new patients at her medical office, and available for appointments, preventative care, medical care as well as ongoing patient care.
Another search into her Bio on https://health.usnews.com also confirms she attended George Washington University School Of Medicine.
It reads, “Dr. Nika Nakia is a family medicine doctor in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She received her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.”
On Tuesday, The Chicago State University’s (CSU’s) Registrar, Caleb Westberg, testified that the same Bola Ahmed Tinubu that attended the Southwest College is the same person who attended and graduated from the institution in 1979.
He further stated that the Tinubu, a male student, is the President of Nigeria.
The registrar said: “There were materials in Mr. Tinubu’s records that show that he was a male. I see the application to CSU. Mr. Tinubu identified himself as a male. His letter of admission identified him as a male. It says: ‘Dear Mr. Tinubu’
VERDICT:
FALSE, as the information is misleading, the woman in the picture is Dr. Nika Nakia and not Adenike Tinubu.
