Dim’s Constellation of Thoughts: Jonathan’s Needless Romance with Buhari

Former President Goodluck Jonathan came out of a long Closed door meeting with President Buhari yesterday in Aso Rock and Described PMB as “Having a Pure Heart”, That to a lot of Buharists is a vote of Confidence on their Principal and they have been gloating over it, However my write up is not about PMB who obviously has been a Colossal Failure and Disappointment to most Nigerians but about Goodluck Jonathan who have remained very cold and quiet in the face of all the Challenges and Problems Confronting the Nation.

I know some Apologists of Goodluck Jonathan will come with the usual ” He is a man of Peace” Line but believe me that doesn’t hold water anymore, Nigeria is drowning under PMB and the least we can expect from Jonathan and the PDP is a vibrant Opposition in order to awaken APC and Keep them on their toes, but this is not the case as Our Country now seems like a One Party State and APC who now feel like they are on a Rollercoaster ride are having a field day with their Incessant Maladministration with Reckless Abandon.

The Most Vibrant Democracies all over the World are fuelled and propelled by Vibrant Opposition which has been obviously lacking since Jonathan’s defeat in 2015, he has ironically become a “Good Friend” to PMB and its on record that he has never condemned any of Buhari’s Policies and actions since then, while some might think its a good move to ensure Peace in the System, the Truth remains that it is Unhealthy for our Democracy.

The Naming of a Train Station after Jonathan in Delta State shouldn’t be enough recompense or greek gift to buy his Silence, the Present Situation of Nigeria is too Dangerous for Silence, Consequently Jonathan must wake up to his responsibilities as an elder statesman and learn to speak truth to power and not sugar coat it in the over all interest of the Nation and the Millions of Nigerians who still look up to him!
