Authorities in Bayelsa State have reportedly shutdown the Government House Clinic otherwise known as “Health Insurance House” following the confirmation of the index COVID19 confirm case as announced by the NCDC sunday evening.
According to Source; All those who were on duty including the doctors, nurses and every other visitors have been isolated and others asked to self isolate for 14days.

NAIJA LIVE TV gathered that, Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri and other Health workers are in serious emergency meetings and he’s expected to address a Live broadcast later today following this development.
NAIJA LIVE TV earlier reported that there was panic in Bayelsa State Gov’t House clinic on Friday following reports of two suspected index cases of COVID-19.
It was gathered that the two suspected cases reported themselves at the state Specialist Hospital near the Government House, Yenagoa, claiming to have contracted the virus.
The incident was said to have caused pandemonium as workers in the hospital, including doctors and nurses, took to their heels upon hearing the claims of the two persons.
A source, who witnessed the incident told NAIJA LIVE TV, said,
The two persons were said to have arrived in the state last Saturday as a result of the alleged porosity of the boundary points which has been in Lockdown following the declaration by Gov. Diri.
“Even the doctors, everybody ran away. You need to see people running away from the hospital. We saw when the governor came out of Government House, angry.”
