The State Government says its investment in the education sector is tailored towards raising leaders who will contribute meaningfully to the development of the state as future leaders.
Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs Hon.Mrs. Martha Jenakumo made this remark during her address to children to mark the 2019 children’s day celebration held at peace park in Yenagoa.
This year’ children’s day is anchored on the theme”Drug abuse among children, addressing the challenges ” with pupils, Students both from public and Private schools joined by voluntary organizations trooped out to celebrate the day in grand style.
The bayelsa state Education commissioner hon. Jonathan Obuebite who represented the State Governor Seriake Dickson took the salutes as part of the days rituals.
The celebration was not devoid of dance, match past from pupils and students as well as goodwill messages.
