As Bayelsans await the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to come forth with details of the procedures to occupy the Bayelsa West Senatorial Seat, recently declared vacant, Bayelsa Youths under the aegis of the Ekeremor/Sagbama Political Frontiers have pitched their tent with the former Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Mr. Peremobowei Ebebi, as they call on him to join the race.
The group in a statement signed by the Director General, Comr. Daniel Sapele and made available to newsmen in Yenagoa, described the former Deputy Governor as a square peg in a square hole with the requisite knowledge to qualitatively represent the Zone in the Red chambers.
According to the group the former Speaker and Deputy Governor has contributed immensely to empower the youths of the state and has been a role model and dogged lawyer who has used his life to impact positively on the people.
The group noted that it is set to purchase the intent declaration form for the vacant Bayelsa West Senatorial seat for the former Deputy Governor and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for him to contest the race and defeat all other contestants.
The Director General of the Group, Comr. Sapele described the news of the immediate past governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Seriake Dickson’s proposed intention to run, as an attempt to cow the people of Ekeremor further, after eight years of misgovernance.
Describing the Ebebi candidacy as a certainty to clinch the coveted legislative seat, Comr. Sapele called on the people of Ekeremor to continue to rally round their Leader, Rt. Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi as the Light of the Bayelsa West Senatorial District.
