Bayelsa Guber Poll: Gov. Dickson Declares July 1st to 3rd as prayer and fasting days in Search of Successor

His Excellency, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, Governor of Bayelsa State, has declared Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd of July, 2019 as prayer and fasting days in the state, to seek direction and guidance from GOD in the choice of who will take over the mantle of leadership after his eight-year tenure of as Governor. 

The Governor believes as the Psalmist said in Psalm 62: verse 11 “Power belongs to God”, and only GOD can give power to men.

The fasting and prayer is scheduled to hold as follows:

Date: Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd of July, 2019

Venue: Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa 

Wednesday, 3rd of July, 2019

Venue: Bayelsa State Ecumenical centre, Igbogene. 

A Statement by Pastor Samuel John Peters, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters had enjoins All well-meaning Bayelsans and especially all the gubernatorial aspirants are advised to join the State in this 3 days for divine intervention on who becomes the next Chief Executive of the State and for peace to reign during the forthcoming governorship election.
