The Bayelsa Government has declared N13.2 billion as total gross inflow into the state for the month of March 2019.The Deputy Governor, retired Rear Admiral Gboribiogha Jonah, who disclosed this in Yenagoa during the monthly transparency briefing on income and expenditure of government, however said that the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the state as at February stood about N739 million, far below what they generated in the past months.

He said the state government is intensifying efforts to ensure that it improves on its revenue drive, particularly in the area of tax collection, so that the ongoing projects will be completed on time.

The deputy governor announced that out of N13.2 billion gross inflow, the statutory allocation from the federation account was over N2.6 billion.

He explained that the income included 13% derivation of over N8bn, statutory allocation of N2.6bn and refunds from other states N57 million.

According to him, the total Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) deductions gulped N1.5bn, which comprised of Excess Crude Account Facility of N128 million and commercial agriculture credit scheme of over N79 million.
