AZIKEL GROUP, DR. ERUANI THREATEN TO SUE PEREKEME FIDELIS OVER ALLEGED DEFAMATORY PUBLICATION

…demand retraction within 48 hours

The Azikel Group of Companies and its Group President, Dr. Eruani Azibapu, CFR, have threatened to drag Perekeme Fidelis Perekeme to court over an alleged false, malicious, and defamatory Facebook publication.

The publication was titled: _”Alleged Aviation Scholarship Scam: Second Successful Candidate Sues Dr. Eruani Azibapu and Azikel Group for ₦1.9 Billion.”_

In a letter issued through his counsel, A.I. Lemu, SAN, Principal Partner of Aliyu Lemu, SAN & Co., Eruani demanded a retraction within 48 hours of receipt of the letter.

The demands include:

– *”The immediate removal and permanent deletion of the offending Facebook publication, including all associated captions, comments, reposts, and related content under your control.”*
– *”An immediate cease and desist from publishing, republishing, repeating, sharing, circulating, endorsing, or otherwise disseminating these defamatory allegations or any similar allegations concerning Dr. Eruani Azibapu, CFR, Azikel Group, or the Aviation Scholarship Programme.”*
– *”Publish a full, clear, unequivocal, and unreserved retraction and apology on the same Facebook account/profile through which the defamatory publication was made.”*
– *”Ensure that the retraction and apology are published with substantially the same prominence and visibility as the original publication and remain publicly accessible for a period of not less than one (1) full month.”*
– *”Expressly state in the retraction/apology that the Aviation Scholarship Programme is not a scam and that the publication created a false and misleading impression concerning Dr. Eruani Azibapu and Azikel Group.”*
– *”Provide written confirmation that you have complied fully with the foregoing demands, including a written undertaking that you will not publish or cause to be published any further false, defamatory, malicious, or misleading statements concerning our client. Same shall be addressed to our client within seven (7) days of receipt of this letter.”
