A concerned citizen of the Glory of All Lands, Bayelsa, has openly called out the Bayelsa government’s new media aides, for allegedly tagging her a fraudster in her attempt to help a member of the department, Awudumu Reigneths, who was left unattended to by her colleagues in the department she works.

Vivian made these revelations in series of a leaked WhatsApp conversations shared a statement, “Vivian Austine.” Her first statement where she cleared herself of the fraud allegations goes thus:

“I am Vivian Austine, yes, a young female, a fan and supporter of the PDP Government. Recently a post was made on Facebook by the Govt new media aids, tagging me a fraudster, trying to make money out of Reigneths illness. These false accusations were birthed as a result of my post concerning her critical health condition stating also my displeasure at the careless attitudes of her colleagues, of which most are her known friends and team mates. Note, I never asked financial assistant from any media aides, neither did I personally place any call to Leaders asking for financial assistance. Yes, we needed assistance as it was an emergency (not planned or saved for) and it was very normal to inform her family, friends, media team mates, and leaders, and also search for every possible way to get to her on time as she was in a different state. All through the first process, we received little or no calls from the media team mates, of which they were fully aware of her critical (lifeless) conditions all we expected was a show of love and concern which of course was missing in this media team.
If I was wrong in my displeasure, I expected a better clarification of their carefree actions, (since they are called media aides) but instead, most key media aids, claimed she was not on an official duty therefore, they cared less of whatever. No money was sent to my account, neither did I control the inflow and outflow of money received.

The public needs to know the hatred and wickedness practiced among some of the media aids. They chose to tarnish my image because I stated the obvious truth, very sad that all they were concerned about was money and their image and not on the health of miss Reigneth. As till now, most of the key players of these allegations are yet to show concern, which left for me, is not needed.

I am highly convinced that the new media aides needs to be trained on how to respond to sensitive issues in order not to cause more harm to the government of Bayelsa state.
Thanks to God, Reigneth is back and strong, shame on those who think they can pull me down.”

In her second post, she briefly described the state if the said Miss Reigneth and then went further to express her displeasure at the actions of her co-media aides and also thanked some members of the public who came to Reigneth’s rescue. She said that:

“My friend Comr Awudumu Reigneth was in a lifeless position and almost considered dead. For 19 hours, she struggled with her life in her room covered with generator smoke (carbon monoxide) for 19 good hours. When she was found she was already gone as most people present would say. I was in great distress when I saw her in a coma and on oxygen, but God brought her back to life, I don’t know how it happened but God did it. Even though she is unable to speak well or hear clearly, I am grateful she is alive.

I must say that I am highly disappointed with her colleagues in the media, I never expected such ill treatment and careless attitude from them and from some of their leaders. I believe if they had heared she was dead, some would have come to show solidarity and assist with her burial but my God never fails. So true is the saying that when you are in need, then you’ll know your true friends and leaders.

Special appreciation to Pst. Miebi Bribena, my God will bless you specially, I will always put you in my prayers. Timila Austin, God will bless you bountifully for your help all through this process. Vijah Inowei Eldred Opuama, even though we never agreed on anything, you were kind enough to reach out, God bless you. Hon. John Sambo, God bless you sir. Comr. Paul Ebikeseiye, may God bless you for the love.

To others that showed love and kindness, God bless you. This is a great testimony.”
